Russia’s RusHydro not ready to decide on power bridge to Japan

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, Jul 13 (PRIME) -- Russian hydropower giant RusHydro is not ready to decide on construction of a power bridge to Japan, CEO Nikolai Shulginov told PRIME on Wednesday.

“Our latest meetings with Mistui company at the St. Petersburg forum and in Moscow showed that the sides are not yet ready to decide on the bridge,” he said.

The companies should examine the bridge’s feasibility study first. “It is unclear who will buy the power and at what price, and we are also not certain about the cost of the bridge’s construction,” he said, adding that the companies will continue working on the idea.
